Baby numero DOS!

We are so excited to finally announce our new little one on their way! I will be 13 weeks along on Thursday. When we went in to see the baby and hear the Ultrasound, Lyla kept pointing at the screen and saying "Baby, Baby." It is so funny because we know she knows what a baby is but the picture on the screen doesn't look like her baby dolls, and her cousins that are babies. We just like to think she is excited:) She kept leaning down to give me kisses and hugs, and I was totally melted. I think Brett was a little anxious at first thinking, "Wow, this baby is really going to be here in a couple months and we are going to have two little kids running around here." Now he is just so excited to have the new baby and see Lyla with her little brother or sister. When we walked out of the Doctors office he said, "Oh, man I was really hoping it was going to be twins so we could get two babies for one pregnancy." Haha, I love that man with everything I got but he can be such a goof sometimes:)
My family was here for a couple days on their way to Grantsville for Thanksgiving and Zack and Ally and Lucy and Eli all came up for the day on Sunday and I was in heaven. It is very rare that our whole family gets to be together and just hang out. I also realized how much more time and work it takes to cook for more than Brett, Lyla and I. Wow, I was tired at the end of everyday.
Levi is still out on his mission and he has served just over 8 months! I am so proud of him and at this time of being so thankful I feel like I need to mention how great I think he is.
Ivy is so Boy crazy and has a new guy at the center of her attention. It is so funny to see my baby sister entering this stage in life, but I guess its also just what happens as time goes by. I still feel like I am 18, but time has continued to pass by me. I am however, soooo Thankful for what that time has brought. My amazing husband, my perfect little daughter, a wonderful mother and father-in-law, and I couldn't ask for better sister-in-laws. There little families add so much to our life.
I can't wait to head down south to spend the holidays with family. I am making some homemade pumpkin pies tomorrow to take down for the big dinner. My sweet neighbor Lana is coming over to help me out. That reminds me of how grateful I am for this beautiful house and that the Lord led us to where we are. I have learned so much from all of our friends and neighbors.
Today I made the Pumpkin Waffles and Buttermilk caramel syrup I pinned on pinterest maybe a year ago. UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS!!! I was knocked on my can with how delicious it was. I was practically emotional!

The changes I made - Added a tsp. Vanilla and an extra 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon then like a sprinkle of nutmeg and clove. They lacked a little flavor to me, but the extras made them perfect.

- The changes I made - as suggested I decreased the butter to 1/4 cup and it was perfect anymore would be too much, then I added a sprinkle of cinnamon to compliment my waffles. Oh and USE A HUGE SAUCE PAN, It really boils up, I did it over the sink thankfully and I lost maybe a 1/4 cup of froth.
